What is a Mortar Head?
Mortar heads are 100% hand sculpted in brick mortar. I do not use molds of any kind so every Sculpture is unique, no two are alike, even if they are of the same character.
The standard size of a Mortar head is 16"inches tall x 16" wide x 1 1/2" inches thick. Every Mortar head is primed, hand painted and sprayed with UV protective gloss clear coat.
With your order you will receive a hand signed & dated detailed blueprint drawing of your sculpture and all bust type sculptures will include a plexi stand for displaying.
Mortar heads can be displayed outside or indoors, Great for gardens, patios, collection or game rooms.
Since Mortar heads are only 1 1/2" inches thick they don't take up alot of space, yet give the illusion of a completely 3-D piece.
Because of the amount of time required to make a Mortar head ( approx. 2-3 months ) I do not have a back stock of sculptures available, so I can only take commisions from patient customers at this time.
I can make any human character, creature, droid or alien from the entire Star Wars universe. I can also make any other Movie, Music, or pop culture icon you may want.
Prices vary and depend on the character and the amount of time and materials needed to complete the project.
Smaller 12"x12" sized Mortar heads are also available.
